Karen Manci Art Studio in Nature
As an avid hiker and wildlife ecologist turned artist, I find watercolor the ideal medium to express the beauty of nature. Easily portable in a backpack, watercolor is perfect for plein air painting, but can be challenging in the quick-drying mountain air of Colorado. I use art to capture the feeling of a special moment during a hike. Absorbed in the world around me, I search for the perfect stop along a trail to paint, and then watch the essence of nature come to life on my paper.
My original watercolor paintings are available for purchase at Sanderosa Art Gallery in Laporte, Colorado (in gallery only) or you can contact me directly regarding the paintings featured on this website. Take a look at my gallery page!
